Meet Sarah Rosenson

I am an experienced educator with years of professional experience leading lively discussions with adults in various settings, including retirement communities, Osher Lifelong Learning Institutes, synagogues, and Jewish Community Centers.

My undergraduate degree in Government is from Georgetown University (B.A.), and I have a law degree from the University of Pennsylvania (J.D.).  I hold a Masters Degree in Jewish Studies from the Spertus Institute.  I practiced law for a decade, and then spent some years as a stay-at-home mom.

For over a decade I taught classes on ethics, on the Bible, and on world religions to high school and middle school students at a private Quaker school.

My book Fan Fiction on the Book of Genesis:  A Guide to Close Reading of and Creative Writing on the Bible, was published in May of 2026 by Cherry Orchard Press, an imprint of Academic Studies Press.  This book is perfect for anyone interested in reading Bible stories through a new and creative lens, people who enjoy creative writing and want to challenge themselves to write fan fiction/midrash on the Bible, and people who teach classes on the Bible and want ideas for discussion topics and questions.

Please join me for an exciting conversation here at Sarah’s Class!
